The City of Auburn appreciates the community’s continued patience and understanding as these upgrades move forward to ensure Auburn’s parks remain safe and enjoyable for all.
AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn will begin construction to expand and improve the restroom and concession facilities at Duck Samford Park Fields 1–3. Construction is scheduled to start Feb. 16, with crews already roping off portions of the area in advance to ensure public safety.
The existing restroom building will be enlarged to double its current capacity, with repairs to plumbing and updates to improve long-term reliability. The project also includes enhancements to the concession stand to better serve park visitors during athletic seasons and community events.
During construction, temporary portable restroom units will be available to accommodate park users. The playground near Fields 1–3 will close once work begins in that section, and additional closures may occur around the construction zone to maintain a secure environment for the public. Visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly.
