October 20 2026

AUBURN, Ala.- INFAC North America, a South Korean automotive parts manufacturer, celebrated the opening of its manufacturing operation in Auburn on Tuesday, Oct. 13. INFAC’s move into Auburn includes an investment exceeding $30 million and the creation of 120 jobs in its first phase.

At the grand opening ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 13, INFAC Group Chairman Ohegil Choi spoke about the importance of this milestone as part of the company’s strategy to have an international presence.

“Having a facility in Auburn will allow us to better serve our customers in the United States and continue expanding our production capabilities,” Choi said. “I am very grateful for the support that we have received from the State of Alabama, City of Auburn, and all our partners and employees.”

INFAC has purchased an existing 160,000 square foot building in the Auburn Technology Park West and has completed renovation and preparation for the planned production operation.

“It is my pleasure to welcome INFAC North America to the Auburn community,” said Mayor Ron Anders. “A lot of hard work and collaboration has occurred to get us to this moment, and we acknowledge the leadership of INFAC who, after evaluation of the company’s needs and of our community, determined Auburn is the right place to plant their roots. We look forward to watching them succeed and to the opportunities they will bring to our area’s workforce.”

In its Alabama facility, INFAC will operate a sophisticated and clean production environment for manufacturing supplies for global automakers, including Hyundai, Kia, and others. Recently, the company has successfully entered the core electrification components sector and continues to strengthen its foundation in manufacturing parts for hybrid vehicles.

“INFAC has built an impressive legacy of innovation and success over more than five decades, and we are proud that Alabama is part of the company's continued growth,” said Ellen McNair, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce. “With a skilled workforce, a strong business climate and dedicated partners at the state and local levels, Auburn offers the resources and support INFAC needs to build on that success for years to come.”
