AUBURN, Ala. - On Sept. 28, 2026, the Auburn Police Department arrested David Rudolph Jenrath, 24, of Franklin, Tennessee on charges of theft of trade secrets and computer tampering.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred in the 300 block of South Donahue Drive. A business reported that sensitive information was stolen from the business and distributed to their competitors. The business reported that one of their competitors received the information and turned it over to them.

Through the course of the investigation, Jenrath was identified as the suspect. Warrants were obtained, and Jenrath turned himself in to the Auburn Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail where he is being held on a $15,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
