AUBURN, Ala. – Parks and Recreation is back again to wrap up the summer at Lake Wilmore Parks Recreation Center!

On Saturday, August 8, Auburn Parks and Recreation will be hosting the BIG Summer Sendoff at Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center and Pool. The event will feature a foam party at the pool, free swimming, face painting, balloon twisting and ice cream.

Anyone interested in attending the event is asked to pre-register for a time slot via the department’s MyRec website. Available time slots are 12-2 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. All participants will need to check in to receive a ticket for ice cream and a wristband.

Parks and Recreation is also looking for food trucks for the event. Any interested parties are asked to register at auburnal.gov/parks/register.
