UPDATE, March 17: An alternating single lane closure and lane shift at the intersection of South Gay Street and East Thach Avenue is expected March 18-19 as Alabama Power completes infrastructure maintenance. The work will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. Sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours with signage and pedestrian control measures will be in place.

Traffic control measures will be in place to maintain two-way traffic throughout the work. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to reduce delays.
