Two arrested for organized retail theft, additional charges

AUBURN, Ala. - On Feb. 16, 2026, Auburn Police arrested James Rickey Earl Henderson, age 51, from Pike Road, Alabama and Bobby Floyd, age 60, from Montgomery, Alabama. Henderson was charged with two counts of organized retail theft, and Floyd was charged with organized retail theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police responding to a report of a theft in progress at a business located in the 1700 block of South College Street on Feb. 16. The suspects, later identified as Henderson and Floyd, were contacted by officers as they were leaving the business.
After further investigation, Henderson and Floyd were both arrested for organized retail theft. Henderson was identified as the suspect in a similar incident that occurred at the same location on Feb. 8, resulting in an additional organized retail theft charge. Henderson ($20,000 bond) and Floyd ($13,500 bond) were transported to the Lee County Jail and held on bond.
