Downtown streets to close February 14 for Mardi Gras Parade

February 09 2026

AUBURN, Ala.- Downtown streets will close for the Krewe de Tigris Mardi Gras Parade at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. The parade will begin at 3 p.m.

The parade will begin at the intersection of Thach Avenue and South College Street, travel east on Thach Avenue to Gay Street, north to Tichenor Avenue, west to College Street and south back to Thach Avenue.

On-street parking inside the parade route (Thach Avenue, Gay Street, Tichenor Avenue, College Street, E. Magnolia Avenue) will close at 1 p.m. To promote the safest environment for event attendees, all cars parked inside the parade route must be removed by 2 p.m. Any cars remaining after 2 p.m. will be towed at the owner's expense. Parking inside the route will be gradually coned off throughout the day to ensure the route is clear in time for the parade and to reduce the need for towing.

Streets and parking will reopen after the parade and cleanup.

An entertainment district will be in effect from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Downtown visitors are encouraged to park in the Wright Street Parking Deck, AuburnBank's Burton Street Parking Deck, the East Glenn Avenue Lot and Felton Little Park. Find more information about downtown parking at auburnalabama.org/downtown-parking.
