Auburn Police respond to criminal trespass complaint

AUBURN, Ala. - On Feb. 7, 2026, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers with the Auburn Police Department responded to the 200 block of South Donahue Drive regarding a criminal trespass complaint.

Upon arrival, officers located multiple individuals inside the building and attempted to detain them for further investigation. One individual, a 22-year-old white male, fled the scene on foot.

During the ensuing foot pursuit, the individual fell from a significant height and sustained serious injuries. Officers immediately rendered medical aid and initiated life-saving measures.

The Auburn Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to assist. The individual was transported by helicopter to a regional hospital for further treatment. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
