AUBURN, Ala.- Anchor Auburn, a collaborative talent-retention initiative powered by FuelAL, is proud to announce the students selected for its 2026 cohort. Anchor Auburn, in conjunction with the City of Auburn's Economic Development department, brings together key community partners committed to strengthening Auburn’s talent pipeline and encouraging graduates to build their careers locally. Through intentional engagement with civic, business and community leaders, the program highlights Auburn as a place where young professionals can live, work and thrive.
The 2026 cohort represents a high-achieving and diverse group of students from a wide range of academic disciplines and career interests. Participants were selected based on their interest in remaining in Auburn after graduation, demonstrated community involvement, leadership potential and career goals aligned with Auburn’s continued growth and vitality.
“The Anchor Auburn program reflects the City of Auburn’s commitment to investing in talent and fostering long-term economic growth,” said Trevor Cook, the City of Auburn’s workforce development director. “By connecting students with local leaders and opportunities, we are helping them see a future for themselves right here in Auburn.”
The five-session program will kick off Jan. 16, and will provide participants with exposure to Auburn’s local leaders, employers, community organizations and quality-of-life amenities. Sessions will allow students to grow professionally, expand their network and deepen their knowledge of the local community.
