AUBURN, Ala.- Road and lane closures are expected at the intersection of Thach Avenue and Ross Street/Chewacla Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 23, while the Water Resource Management Department makes water system improvements. Traffic impacts are expected between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The eastbound lane of Thach Avenue will be closed between Payne Street and the intersection of Thach and Ross/Chewacla. Additional lane closures are expected on Ross and Chewacla for the safety of workers and drivers. Signage will be in place to detour motorists around the closures.

A water outage is planned from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Affected customers will be notified directly.

Local traffic will have access to their driveways during this work, but drivers are advised to take alternate routes if possible. The City appreciates the public’s patience during this needed infrastructure work.
