Auburn man arrested for burglary, giving a false name to law enforcement officers

AUBURN, Ala. - On Sept. 20, 2025, Auburn Police arrested Kendavious Lamarcus Williams, age 28, from Auburn, Alabama, charging him with attempted burglary second degree and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a call reporting an attempted burglary near the 2900 block of Sandhill Road on Sept. 20. Officers met with a victim who reported that a suspect forced a door open to make entry into a residence while the victim was inside. The suspect fled on foot upon realizing the residence was occupied.

Responding officers located the suspect walking near the victim’s residence a short time after the crime occurred. The suspect was detained, and he initially provided a false name to police. He was subsequently identified as Kendavious Lamarcus Williams.

After further investigation, Williams was arrested for charges associated with the attempted burglary and false name. He was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $4,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
