Two men arrested for theft of property first degree

AUBURN, Ala. – On Feb. 26, 2025, Auburn Police arrested Austin Glenn Dixon, age 24, from Auburn, Alabama, on a felony warrant charging him with theft of property first degree.
The arrest follows an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Austin Sorrells, age 29, who was arrested for theft of property first degree on Jan. 14, 2025.
On Jan. 14, 2025, Auburn Police received a theft report from a business. A complainant reported that between Jan. 13 and 14, property was stolen from a location near the 2300 block of West Farmville Road.
The stolen property was recovered from Sorrells’ possession on Jan. 14, leading to his subsequent arrest for theft of property first degree.
During the follow-up investigation, Dixon was developed as a suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained and Dixon was located and arrested in obedience to the warrant on Feb. 26.
Both Dixon and Sorrells were transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond.
