AUBURN, Ala.- Closures on Toomer Street are expected March 3-14 to facilitate Alabama Power work related to a new development and streetscape project.

The southbound lane of Toomer Street and the sidewalk along the west side of the street will be closed during work, which is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Brief, intermittent full road closures are expected at times during the work to maneuver equipment and materials.

The northbound lane will remain open, allowing residents to access their properties.

Traffic control will be in place to maintain two-way traffic. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
