Auburn, Ala. - A portion of the East University Drive sidewalk will be closed on Feb. 3-4, due to construction work at The Vintage II.

The work will include the removal of the existing sidewalk and the installation of a temporary sidewalk from the Auburn Flats entrance to Brusters Ice Cream. After the temporary sidewalk is completed on Feb. 4, it will remain in place until the permanent sidewalk is installed.

Construction of the permanent sidewalk is expected to be complete by Feb. 28. Pedestrians are advised to use caution in the area and to follow posted signage to take alternate routes avoiding the work zone. The temporary sidewalk will be clearly marked for pedestrian use.

Motorists are advised to use caution and be on the lookout for workers in the area.
