AUBURN, Ala.- Auburn City facilities will be open on Thursday, Jan. 23, following icy winter weather this week.

Most City facilities will open at their usual time, including Auburn City Hall opening at 8 a.m. and the Auburn Public Library opening at 8:30 a.m. All Parks and Recreation facilities will open at 8 a.m.

Environmental Services will continue their weekly schedule for garbage, trash and recycling pickup delayed by two days:

• Tuesday pickup will take place Thursday
• Wednesday pickup will take place Friday
• Thursday pickup will take place Saturday

Please be patient as our crews work to catch up the weekly schedule as icy conditions continue to dissipate on some roadways.

Auburn Public Safety urges drivers to be aware of the potential for black ice on roadways tonight and early tomorrow morning. Please drive safely.
