AUBURN, Ala.- Impending winter weather predicted for Jan. 21 and 22 has led to a state of emergency declaration by Gov. Kay Ivey that includes Lee County.

As such, the Jan. 21, 2025, Committee of the Whole and regular meetings of the Auburn City Council are postponed to Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at 5:55 p.m. (Committee of the Whole) and 6 p.m. (regular City Council meeting) in the Auburn Council Chamber at 141 N. Ross St. All public hearings scheduled for Jan. 21 will take place at the Jan. 23 meeting.

City operations for tomorrow are otherwise scheduled as normal at this time. City officials will continue to monitor conditions as weather unfolds.
