Auburn, Ala. - A portion of Woodfield Drive will be closed between Fontaine Drive and South Gay Street on Nov. 12 from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., as the Auburn Water Board works to replace a fire hydrant.

A water outage is also expected on Nov. 12 for several residents, all of whom can expect advanced notice of the outage via door tags on Nov. 8. The water outage will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Traffic control measures will be in place to direct drivers around the work. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area. The City thanks the public for its patience as necessary maintenance is performed on the water distribution system.
