2024 Shugar Bowl set for Nov. 9

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Youth Football Association will host the 2024 Shugar Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Duck Samford Football Stadium. The annual championship event, which began in 1974, celebrates the legacy of legendary Auburn University football coach Ralph "Shug" Jordan and brings together young athletes for a day of competition.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. The public is invited to attend. The Shugar Bowl will feature the following championship games:

  • Boys Flag Football ages 8-9: @ Commanders vs. Saints 9 a.m.
  • Boys Flag Football ages 10-12: @ Bengals vs. Steelers 10:30 a.m.
  • Girls Flag Football ages 10-12: Saints vs. Bengals @12 p.m.
  • Boys Tackle Football SEC league ages 8-9: Bulldogs vs. Sooners @ 1:30 p.m.
  • Boys Tackle Football NFL league ages 10-12: Giants vs. Steelers @ 3 p.m.

Parking will be available behind Duck Samford Stadium off of Glenn Avenue. The lower parking lot off East University Drive will be closed. All seating will be on the home side of the stadium.

Proceeds from gate admissions and sponsorships will support scholarships for athletes in need of financial assistance for the 2025 football season.
