UPDATE, Sept. 4: Work related to The Oaks at Toomer development has been postponed to Thursday, Sept. 5. The sidewalk along the west side of the street between Glenn and Genelda avenues is now expected to be closed on Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Sept. 3: AUBURN, Ala.- A portion of the sidewalk on Toomer Street will be closed tomorrow, Sept. 4, while a contractor makes water connections related to The Oaks at Toomer development. The sidewalk along the west side of the street between Glenn and Genelda avenues will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Pedestrians are advised to be careful in the area and to use the sidewalk on the east side of Toomer Street during work.
