Gay Street lane, sidewalk closure expected May 20-June 14

AUBURN, Ala.- Portions of the southbound lane of Gay Street between Casey and Samford avenues will be closed beginning Monday, May 20, to facilitate work on the Heart of Auburn development. The adjacent sidewalk will also be closed during work, which is expected to take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through June 14.
Two-way traffic is expected to be maintained throughout the majority of the work, but traffic will be reduced to one lane at times. Traffic control measures will be in place to help motorists navigate around closures. Travelers are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
