UPDATE, May 20: The eastbound lanes of West Glenn Avenue between Wright and College streets have reopened following repairs.
UPDATE, May 17: The eastbound lanes of West Glenn Avenue between Wright and College streets are expected to remain closed through mid next week as roadway repairs continue. Asphalt repair is expected to begin Monday, May 20, as inclement weather continues into the weekend.
A detour will remain in place to divert eastbound traffic at Toomer Street. Westbound traffic will continue to flow as usual. This release will be updated once the lanes have reopened.
UPDATE, May 16, 4 p.m.: The westbound lanes of West Glenn Avenue between Wright and College streets have reopened. The eastbound lanes will remain closed as road repairs continue.
Eastbound traffic will continue to be detoured at Toomer Street. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the closure via Donahue Drive, Magnolia Avenue and College Street if possible.
UPDATE, May 16, 2:30 p.m.: All lanes of West Glenn Avenue are now closed between Wright and College streets.
Westbound traffic will be detoured around the closure at North College Street, and eastbound traffic will continue to be detoured at Toomer Street. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes as roadway repairs continue.
This release will be updated once a duration for the work has been determined.

Local traffic will still have access to businesses and residences along West Glenn Avenue. The westbound lanes will remain open. This release will be updated once a duration for the work has been determined.
May 15: AUBURN, Ala.- The eastbound lanes of West Glenn Avenue (closest to 191 College) will be closed between Wright and College streets beginning today, May 15, during roadway repairs. This release will be updated once the duration of the repairs has been determined.
Traffic control measures will be in place to keep traffic flowing in both directions. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
