UPDATE, Aug. 2: With the new school year about to begin, the traffic signal at the intersection of East Samford Avenue and Payne Street will return to full operation on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area as traffic adjusts to the change.

May 15: AUBURN, Ala.- The traffic signal at the intersection of East Samford Avenue and Payne Street will go into flash operation on Friday, May 24, while Auburn City Schools are out of session.

The signal will flash yellow on Samford Avenue and red on Payne Street. Traffic on Samford Avenue will not have to stop, but traffic on Payne Street should stop before turning onto Samford Avenue.

The signal is expected to go back into full operation on Aug. 7.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution as the community adjusts to this change.
