Lanett man arrested for rape first degree

Auburn, Ala. - On Jan. 26, 2024, Auburn Police, with assistance from the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested Rontravious Ferrendo Stevenson, age 39, from Lanett, AL on a felony warrant charging him with rape first degree.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a sexual assault report on Dec. 23, 2023. A complainant reported that a suspect used forcible compulsion to engage in sexual intercourse with a victim at a residence in Auburn, AL on Dec. 23, 2023.
The suspect was known to the complainant and victim, and his identification was confirmed as Rontravious Ferrendo Stevenson by Auburn Police Detectives. After further investigation, police obtained a warrant for Stevenson’s arrest for the charge of rape first degree.
On Jan. 26, 2024, Auburn Police and members of the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force located Stevenson in Lanett, AL. Stevenson was arrested in obedience to the outstanding warrant.
Stevenson was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on $100,000 bond.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
