Tuskegee man arrested for shooting into an occupied vehicle

December 28 2023

Auburn, Ala. - On Dec. 28, 2023, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Opelika Police Department (OPD), arrested Isaiah Donta Rose, age 24, from Tuskegee, AL on a felony warrant charging him with shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The arrest stems from the Opelika Police Department responding to a shooting into an occupied vehicle call on Dec. 28. Officers met with a victim who reported that a suspect shot the victim’s vehicle while driving a vehicle behind the victim, as both were traveling on I-85.

OPD officers located the suspect near the 1100 block of Columbus Parkway. During the investigation, it was determined that the crime occurred near mile marker 56, which is in the jurisdiction of the Auburn Police Department.

Auburn Police Department officers responded, and after further investigation, Rose was arrested for shooting into an occupied vehicle. Rose was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on an $50,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
