AUBURN, Ala.- Moores Mill Road will be closed to through traffic between East Samford Avenue and Sherwood Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 19, while crews repair a damaged sanitary sewer line near 450 Moores Mill Road. Work is expected to take place between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Traffic will be detoured around the work via Sherwood Drive, Dumas Drive and East Samford Avenue. Please note, there will be no through traffic between Dean Road and Samford Avenue. Drivers wishing to travel from East Samford Avenue to Moores Mill Road should detour via Dean Road. All residences in the area will remain accessible during the repair.

Temporary lane closures are expected on Wednesday, Dec. 20, while crews restore the roadway.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area, follow postage signage and take alternate routes to avoid delays. The City of Auburn appreciates the public's patience during these necessary infrastructure repairs.
