AUBURN, Ala.- Mayor Ron Anders and Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox will continue their annual tradition of an Iron Bowl wager to benefit local charities this year.

The Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide will face off at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 25. If Auburn wins, Maddox will make a $100 donation to the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama. If Alabama wins, Anders will make a $100 donation to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative.

This yearly wager began in 2005 between Mayor Maddox and former Auburn Mayor Bill Ham. Since 2005, Auburn has won the Iron Bowl seven times, and Alabama has won 11 times.

"I look forward to continuing this great tradition that celebrates amazing organizations in both of our communities while standing behind our Tigers," Anders said. "I wish Mayor Maddox all the best as we continue this friendly competition. War Eagle!"
