Most City facilities closed Nov. 23-24 for Thanksgiving holiday

AUBURN, Ala.- Most City facilities will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24, during the Thanksgiving holiday. Downtown parking will be free Nov. 20-24 during Auburn University's Thanksgiving break with the exception of the Wright Street Parking Deck.
Public Safety services, including police and fire, will remain on their regular schedules. Garbage, trash and recycling pickup routes will run as follows:
Monday, Nov. 20 - Monday's route
Tuesday, Nov. 21 - Tuesday's route
Wednesday, Nov. 22 - Wednesday's route
Thursday, Nov. 23 - Holiday
Friday, Nov. 24 - Thursday's route
The Auburn Public Library will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday.
All Auburn Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24. The basketball gym, Zumba room and racquetball courts at Frank Brown Recreation Center and the gymnasium at the Boykin Community Center will be closed Nov. 20-26 for floor maintenance. The Yarbrough Tennis Center will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and will reopen on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 8 a.m. All parks, playgrounds and cemeteries will remain open sunrise to sunset.
