Auburn, Ala. - On Oct. 4, 2023, Auburn Police arrested Danny L. Reese, age 58, from Auburn, AL on a felony warrant charging him financial exploitation of the elderly first degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of fraudulent sale on Oct. 1, that occurred in the 400 block of Webster Road. A complainant reported that a suspect conducted an unauthorized sale of property that belonged to a victim who was over the age of 60. The suspect sold the property without the victim’s knowledge and did not transfer the proceeds of the sale to the victim.

Danny L. Reese was developed as a suspect. Police made contact with Reese and after further investigation he was arrested. Reese was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $7,500 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
