UPDATE, Sept. 26: Alabama Power work on Wire Road originally scheduled for Sept. 25-28 has been moved to Oct. 2-5.

Sept. 22: AUBURN, Ala.- The outside, westbound lane of Wire Road between Cox and Webster roads will be closed next week, Sept. 25-28, to facilitate work by Alabama Power crews. All residences and business along Wire Road will remain accessible during the work, which is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Crews will also be working along Cox Road, but work is not expected to affect travel lanes other than temporarily as trucks and equipment leave and enter the roadway. Motorists are advised to use caution in these areas and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
