AUBURN, Ala.- The 2023 SummerNight Downtown Art Walk theme is peaches! This year's event — set for June 9 from 6-10 p.m. in downtown Auburn — will feature the “Peachy Keen” Culinary Contest. All culinary artists are invited to submit an entry to this unique contest.

Each contestant may submit an entry that will become property of the Auburn Arts Association. There is no fee to participate, but each entry must contain the featured ingredient, peaches. All culinary submissions will be available for donation to the public during SummerNight, and all proceeds will benefit the Auburn Arts Association and their educational programs. Winners of the culinary contest will be announced at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage during the art walk.

Prizes may be awarded in the following categories: kids, savory, cookies and bars, pastry and bread and cakes and cupcakes. Other awards such as judge’s favorite, honorable mention and best in Show may be awarded as well.

Applications must be received by the morning of June 9. Culinary entries should be dropped off at the Dean Road Recreation Center for judging on June 8 between 12-8 p.m. or on June 9 between 8-11 a.m. The Dean Road Recreation Center is located at 307 S. Dean Road.
