Auburn, Ala. - On April 17, 2023, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Greenville Police Department, arrested Antonio Deshun Holcomb, age 23, from Greenville, AL on felony warrants for three counts of identity theft.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving multiple reports of check fraud in January 2023. Officers met with multiple victims who reported their checks were never received by the intended payees. The victims also reported that the checks were altered and used in fraudulent transactions at multiple banks.

Antonio Deshun Holcomb was developed as a suspect, and after further investigation, arrest warrants for three counts of identity theft were obtained for Holcomb. Holcomb was located by the Greenville Police Department in Greenville, AL and arrested in obedience to the warrants on April 16.

On April 17, Holcomb was transported to the Auburn Police Department and subsequently booked into the Lee County Jail to be held on $15,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
