Auburn, Ala. - On April 12, 2023, Auburn Police arrested William Emery McBay, age 21, from Auburn, AL on a felony warrant for criminal mischief first degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of property damage that occurred near the 600 block of Shug Jordan Parkway on April 2. Responding officers observed multiple items that were intentionally damaged from being thrown from an upper floor apartment. There were also vehicles that incurred damage from thrown items, including spray paint.

William Emery McBay was developed as a suspect, and after further investigation, an arrest warrant for the charge of criminal mischief first degree was obtained for McBay.  Officers located McBay and placed him under arrest in obedience to the warrant on April 12.

McBay was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $3,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
