Auburn, Ala. - On Feb. 28, 2023, Auburn Police arrested Tommie Lee Ray Jr., age 59, from Auburn, AL on warrants charging him with receiving stolen property second degree, possession of marijuana second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing government operations.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop initiated after police observed a traffic violation on I-85 near Bent Creek Road on Feb. 28. Tommie Lee Ray Jr. was identified as the driver of the vehicle. During the stop, an investigation was initiated and officers recovered a stolen firearm and narcotics contraband.

At the conclusion of the investigation Ray was arrested for charges associated with the stolen firearm and narcotics contraband.

Ray was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $6,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
