December 22 2022

AUBURN, Ala. - On Dec. 19, 2022, Auburn Police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile, from Auburn, on a felony warrant charging him with robbery first degree. A 15-year-old juvenile accomplice, also from Auburn, was also arrested for robbery first degree on Dec. 20, 2022.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police responding to a robbery call at a residence located in the 1000 block of Northpointe Circle on Dec. 18. A victim reported that the two juvenile suspects were in the home and threatened the victim with a firearm while stealing currency.

The 16-year-old juvenile and 15-year-old juvenile were developed as suspects, and after further investigation, both were arrested for robbery first degree. Information learned during the investigation also determined that the residence was not randomly targeted, and the location of the crime was associated with one of the suspects’ familiarity with the residence and occupants.

The 16-year-old was transported to the Lee County Jail in accordance with state law and held on a $100,000 bond. The 15-year-old was transported and held at the Lee County Youth Development Center.
