Two Selma women arrested on charges of theft of property and attempting to elude a police officer

Auburn, Ala. - On Dec. 9, 2022, Auburn Police arrested Aliah Janel Rand, age 20, and Davida Roshonda Hall, age 25, both from Selma, on warrants charging them with theft of property third degree and attempting to elude a police officer.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police responding to a call reporting a theft that occurred at a business located in the 1700 block of South College Street. A complainant associated with the business reported that two suspects were leaving the store with stolen merchandise. Responding officers attempted to stop the suspects, but they fled and entered a vehicle.
Police detained the suspects prior to the vehicle leaving, and the stolen property was recovered. The suspects were identified as Aliah Janel Rand and Davida Roshonda Hall. After further investigation, both were placed under arrest.
Rand and Hall were transported to the Lee County Jail and both held on a $4,500 bond.
