UPDATE: Auburn Police investigate Donahue Drive shooting

UPDATE, Nov. 7: On Nov. 7, 2022, detectives from the Auburn Police Department arrested Tyrondre Antravius Dowdell, age 28, on a felony warrant charging him with domestic violence first degree.
During the investigation, Dowdell was developed as the suspect in the incident that occurred on Nov. 5 in the 400 block of North Donahue Drive. Police determined that Dowdell had a relationship with the victim applicable to Alabama law associated with the crime of domestic violence first degree.
The condition of the victim remains serious, but stable. Dowdell was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on no bond, pending further judicial review.
Auburn, Ala. - On Nov. 5, 2022 the Auburn Police Department responded to the East Alabama Medical Center’s Free-Standing Emergency Department in reference to a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, a 22 year-old female, was able to speak with officers prior to being airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition.
An investigation was initiated by Auburn Police Detectives and a crime scene was located in the 400 block of N Donahue Dr in Auburn. A person of interest, who was known to the victim, has been identified but is not in custody at the time of this release.
The victim was reported as being in serious, but stable condition at the trauma center.
