Absentee ballots available for 2022 Municipal Election

AUBURN, Ala.- Absentee applications and ballots for the Aug. 23 Municipal Election are available at Auburn City Hall. Eligible voters who are unable to physically visit their polling place on Aug. 23 may cast an absentee ballot in advance. Voters may cast an absentee ballot if they:
- Will be absent from the county on Election Day.
- Are ill or have a physical disability that prevents a trip to the polling place.
- Are a registered Alabama voter living outside the county, such as a member of the armed forces, a voter employed outside the U.S., a college student or a spouse or child of such a person.
- Are an appointed election officer or poll watcher at a polling place other than their regular polling place.
- Work a required shift, 10 hours or more, that coincides with polling hours.
Absentee ballot applications may be obtained from City Hall or from the Secretary of State's website. Applications must be made in writing to the City Manager and either hand delivered by the voter or mailed to:

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is Aug. 16 for applications delivered by mail and Aug. 18 for applications delivered in person. The deadline for absentee ballots is Aug. 22, whether delivered by mail or in person.
The last day to register to vote in the election is Aug. 8, and election results will be canvassed on Aug. 30.
Please note, your voting location for municipal elections may differ from the November county, state and federal elections, and your ward and voting location may have changed since the 2018 Municipal Election.
