Salem man arrested on felony charges

AUBURN, Ala. - On June 22, 2022, Auburn Police arrested Martavious Treylin Davis, age 21, from Salem, Alabama, on felony warrants charging him with possession of a forged instrument third degree and trafficking in stolen identities.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop in which multiple items suspected to be fraudulent were collected on May 9, 2022. Martavious Treylin Davis was contacted as the driver of the vehicle. An investigation followed and led to police obtaining an arrest warrant for Davis for the charge of possession of a forged instrument third degree on June 7, 2022.

Davis was located and arrested on June 22, 2022. During the arrest, more evidence associated with stolen identities was recovered from his possession leading to the additional charge of trafficking in stolen identities. None of the identifying materials are known to be associated with any local victims at this time.

Davis was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $31,500 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
