UPDATE: Opelika man arrested on multiple charges

AUBURN, Ala. - On June 10, 2022, Auburn Police arrested Remus Donte Menifield, age 35, from Opelika, Alabama, on warrants charging him with five counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, four counts of theft of property third degree, three counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card, and two counts of theft of property second degree.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police responding to multiple reports of auto burglaries that occurred on June 7, 2022, in the area of the 2100 block of Stonehaven Drive.
Remus Donte Menifield was identified as a suspect, and, after further investigation, he was arrested for the offenses.
The warrants were executed while Menifield was incarcerated at the Lee County Jail for unrelated charges and was on a $31,500 bond.
UPDATE, July 1- On June 30, 2022, Remus Donte Menifield was arrested on felony warrants charging him with three counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, identity theft, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and theft of property third degree.
These charges resulted from investigative actions that identified Menifield as the suspect associated with vehicle burglaries that occurred during the last week in May 2022 in the 1500 block of Reynolds Drive.
Menifield was charged at the Lee County Jail, where he has remained in custody since his arrest on June 10, 2022. An additional $18,500 was added to his bond as a result of these new charges.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
