Town Creek Inclusive Playground opening June 1

May 31 2022

AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the opening of the Town Creek Park Inclusive Playground on Wednesday, June 1. A grand opening will be held at a later date.

Please be aware, crews will be working on some areas of the inclusive playground to do finishing work, causing some areas of the playground to be closed for short periods of time.

The playground is located at 430 Camellia Drive and is open sunup to sundown. Overflow parking is available at the Town Creek Park overflow lot on Gay Street with directions posted on how to walk to the inclusive playground.

The playground consists of five large playground pods, with more than 30 play structures throughout. Features include fitness equipment, a Gaga Ball Pit, a zip line and a rock-climbing wall. The playground has something for every age, ability level and interest.

Two pavilions and a restroom building complete the park, and pavilions are available for reservations. Multiple shades throughout the playground offer protection from the sun, with benches scattered throughout. Please be mindful that playground equipment with extended sun exposure may become very hot.
