Montgomery man arrested on multiple charges

April 05 2022

AUBURN, Ala.- On April 2, 2022, Auburn Police arrested Stevie Weymon Holloway Jr., age 25, from Montgomery, on warrants charging him with trafficking in stolen identities, possession of marijuana second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police contacting Holloway as the driver of a vehicle during a traffic stop. During the stop, officers were alerted to illegal activity which led to further investigation. Police recovered contraband associated with multiple victims of identity theft in addition to marijuana and paraphernalia.

Officers also discovered evidence of fraudulent activity connected with the recovered identity theft materials. Although there are no known local victims associated with the investigation at this time, police were able to verify that recovered evidence was related to crimes in another police jurisdiction.

Holloway resisted arrest during the investigation, resulting in an additional charge. He was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $32,500 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
