English conversation classes offered at Auburn Public Library

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Public Library is pleased to host a four-part community English listening and speaking class this April. Classes will be offered on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning April 5 through April 26.
The class offers participants an opportunity to cultivate international relationships and improve English language skills in a fun and relaxed environment. All lessons are designed and taught by students in a graduate level Methods in Teaching Listening and Speaking course under the supervision of Dr. Jamie Harrison, associate professor of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Education at Auburn University. Participants will be asked to take a placement test and commit to the four-week course of study. English activities for children of adult participants will be provided.
The course is free and open to the public. Those interested may register at aub.ie/esl-course. Registration is required. Space is limited to 20 in-person participants. A distance option will be available via Zoom.
