March 03 2022
AUBURN, Ala.- The School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University began conducting research on behalf of Auburn Parks and Recreation, titled "Parks and Recreation for the Auburn Community: Understanding Perceptions and Needs," on Tuesday, March 1.
Auburn residents are encouraged to participate in an online survey to share feedback on programming needs. Participants must be at least 19 years old and live or work in the City of Auburn. Residents will have the opportunity to suggest new programming ideas and evaluate any existing programs they have attended or have interest in.
The survey will focus on the following programs:
- Preschool
- Children 6-12
- Teens 13-18
- Adults 50+
- Therapeutics
- Aquatics
- Fitness
The survey will be available until Friday, April 15. Participation is voluntary, and results are anonymous. The survey will take roughly 15-25 minutes to complete with the option to participate in a 60- to 90-minute focus group at a later date. Most focus groups will be conducted via Zoom (or phone dial-in), and some will be in-person at the Harris Center for citizens who cannot easily participate virtually.
