Auburn, Ala.- On Feb. 11, 2022, Auburn Police arrested Marcus Damon Marshall Jr., age 27, from Phenix City, Alabama, on a felony warrant charging him with theft of property first degree.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a theft associated with a fraudulent purchase that began on May 7, 2021, in the 500 block of Opelika. Marcus Damon Marshall Jr. was developed as a suspect, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Auburn Police Department officers placed Marshall under arrest on Feb. 11, 2022.

Marshall was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond. This case remains under investigation, and additional arrests are anticipated.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
