AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn regulates all signage within Auburn City limits year-round. Here are a few reminders to follow throughout the 2022 election season that help keep Auburn beautiful:

  • Political signs should only be displayed within 30 days before the election. Upcoming elections include:
    • May 24: State Primary Election
    • June 21: State Primary Runoff Election (if needed)
    • Aug. 23: City of Auburn Municipal Election
    • Sept. 20: City of Auburn Municipal Runoff Election (if needed)
    • Nov. 8: State General Election
  • Signs should be no more than 32 square feet.
  • All signs must be on private property and cannot be placed on City rights of way, utility poles or traffic signs. In most neighborhoods, the right of way is typically between the water meter and the road. Signs placed in the right of way will be removed.
