UPDATE: Byrd Street lane closures expected during utility installation

UPDATE, Jan. 25: Utility installation for the Tucker Heights affordable subdivision is expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 26-27. Traffic control measures will be in place, and motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
UPDATE, Jan. 5: The contractor is expected to continue utility installation for the Tucker Heights affordable subdivision beginning this Thursday, Jan. 6. Work will begin around 8 a.m. and last into the week of Jan. 10. Traffic control measures will be in place, and motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
Dec. 28: AUBURN, Ala.- Lane closures are expected on Byrd Street near the intersection of Tucker Avenue starting Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 8 a.m. as utilities are installed for the Tucker Heights project.
Traffic control measures will be in place to notify travelers of the work. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
Tucker Heights is a new affordable housing subdivision in Auburn located on the corner of Byrd and Tucker and is a part of the City’s ongoing efforts to support low- to moderate-income families in Auburn. The completion of Tucker Heights will bring the number of homes the City has built for first-time homeowners to 150.
